I guess he got this from the Yerushalmi in Bikurim 1:7, but it's a big surprise, at least to me. A buyer, though, would bring, maybe read, maybe not.Bnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20173285.post-84358214007389321872010-08-29T15:56:18.217-04:002010-08-29T15:56:18.217-04:00Becasue, as I mentioned, "That midrash also s...Becasue, as I mentioned, "That midrash also says that when we offer bikkurim it is also demanding of G-d that we return next year with bikkurim." I am not aware that when we offer any other korban, a prayer or demand of Hashem "that we bring this korban again next year" is part of it.The Talmidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03864554535184476585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20173285.post-60638488014644930552010-08-29T12:23:04.351-04:002010-08-29T12:23:04.351-04:00Why is bikurim more of an act of communicating wit...Why is bikurim more of an act of communicating with G-d than bringing korbanos? That midrash also says that when we offer bikkurim it is also demanding of G-d that we return next year with bikkurim. So when we bring bikkurim, we communicate with G-d. Davening is also communicating with G-d. Moshe instituted davening 3 times a day to demonstrate that we should always have communication with G-d. (we can add that Moshe himself instituted it and he didn't wait until the chachamim of the generation of the churban so that even people who didn't own land from which to bring bikkurim should learn this lesson, which was applicable immediately, and not wait until the churban.)The Talmidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03864554535184476585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20173285.post-85554724010025045512010-08-29T09:43:21.362-04:002010-08-29T09:43:21.362-04:00I don't know much about it and don't know ...I don't know much about it and don't know who has written about it either.Chaim B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02231811394447584320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20173285.post-31275356172463479892010-08-27T14:25:04.272-04:002010-08-27T14:25:04.272-04:00any chance you can make a post to explain the milk...any chance you can make a post to explain the milk controversy. or can someone put a link to someone who did a good job of explaining it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
