In hil pesach there seems to be an idea of each person, even a katan/ketana, having his/her own kos for the seder. I do not fully understand why there is such a hakpada on kos. According to Tosfos, each person could theoretically be yotzei just with the ba'al habayis's drinking. Even if you hold each person needs to drink, they could partake of the bh"b's kos shel bracha. What is this inyan of each person having a kos?
Because of shomea k'oneh issues?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think I once heard that Rav Moshe held everyone should have his own seder plate but I could be wrong.
I think your quote from R" Moshe is against a Rashban 115b that only the ba'al haseder needs matzah and maror in front of him
ReplyDeleteTHE ANSWER TO THE ORIGINAL QUESTION I THINK IS GAM HEIM BOISOH HANESS
ReplyDeletein the shulchan oruch harav he writes 'all these items ie matzos, maror etc need only be brought in front of the one reading hte hagada, ie the baal habayis, but the other memebrs of the household who are yotze by listening to the baal habayis (and so is appropriate due to berov am hadras melech) do not require the said items in front of them.
ReplyDeletemashma that if the other people at teh seder are actually reciting the hagada themselves, and not being yotze with the baal habayis, then they require their own seder plate etc
