shushan purim

I once heard from R' Ahron Kahn shlit"a that Shushan Purim is a celebration of the achdus of Klal Yisrael. Even though the events of that day affected only the Jews of Shushan, all of Klal Yisrael celebrates the day as one people.

Dont have time to really write -- but for a good mareh markom -- see the Meshech Chochmah's comment to the pasuk at the end of the megilah "divrei shalom ve-emes" related to this idea. A freilichin shushan Purim!

Any thoughts on the new book that claims there is a long legacy of Jewish violence on Purim?

Also, do you highly recommend any other lesser known seforim besides Tiferet Shlomo?
